TheStreet.com, a digital financial media company, is seeking web-savvy, innovative social media interns to aid our Audience Development team. You will be working closely with our social media coordinators, content editors and creators to extend our presence on social networking sites, aid our blogger outreach and generate community development initiatives to share in Audience Development meetings.
Responsibilities include:
-Extending our presence on social networking sites (including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Digg and the blogosphere)
-Developing relationships with bloggers
-Researching trends and emerging platforms
-Generating community development initiatives to share in Audience Development meetings
Our ideal candidate possesses:
-Familiarity with major social media platforms and trends
-Excellent attention to detail
-Strong writing and communication skills
-Interest in finance and financial news a plus
In the process, you will:
-Expand your knowledge of web 2.0 tools, trends and principles
-Learn how to build a presence and generate conversation on social networking sites
-Understand how to coordinate social media initiatives across multiple departments
-Improve your proficiency with web analytics software and Excel
